Day 6 – A Roller Coaster

Hannah was feeling so much better yesterday and we had a good day filled with games (Telestrations and Connect 4) and some time out front with Dad, Clark and Aidan. She was even able to poop – which caused much celebration and excitement. Her spirits were high. Then last night the nausea and vomiting returned. She was not able to get comfortable and did not sleep much. Her stomach remained unsettled this morning and she continued vomiting. At this point they think the vomiting is caused by the stress on her belly and internal digestive track from the traction. We are up to 21 lbs of traction. She is finally getting a little rest this morning in a chair. I just wish every good day was not followed by another challenging one for her! – Jenean

  1. Hannah, your strength and determination will carry you through these hard days, and your family will pick you up when you fall!

  2. I am celebrating the return of some important bodily functions (the pooping!) but I’m so sorry to hear that the barfiness is back. It’s nerve wracking to feel like you might throw up… and then exhausting to actually throw up. And maybe reading my comments about throwing up might trigger a new wave of nausea! I will be quiet now, but know that we are sending you wishes for a calm GI tract.
